Painting London via google streetview!

Whitehall London

This painting is done again using Inktense and Acrylic Ink. I started with rowney blue and burnt umber to create the basic tonality, then when dry added more color with inktense, using a range of complementary colours. Then back in again with thin mix of white acrylic to add lighter areas and highlights.

LandscapePainting from Google Street View

Heres an idea I really got from Oggy on Paint My Photo
The new google street view has high resoloution images from a huge portion of the world. Certainly every road in the UK seems to be covered, if you haven't tried it yet, you can start by going here. This is the view I painted above. I have used another new way of working. I applied the Inktense pencil directly to the paper, then used white acrylic ink and water to 'release' the colour. Quite a magical way to work. This makes the ink become colored with the inktense.
